Councillor Dave Irving

Dave is a retired Merseyside Police Officer having completed a 30 year career, retiring in 1996. He became a Liverpool City Councillor in 1998 retiring in 2009 and chaired the Planning Committee for two years during his term in Office.  Dave has lived in Formby since 2009 and became an active member of Formby Civic Society and Formby U.3.A.

Dave was elected in 2015 to represent Harington Ward on the Parish Council and became a Sefton Borough Councillor for Harington Ward in 2019. Dave is a member of the Finance and General Purpose group, Neighbourhood Plan Steering group and the Planning group. Dave also represents the Parish Council at the Formby Business Partnership Meeting.
