The consultation starts on Friday 1st December 2023 and ends on Friday 12th January 2024.

Remember, reflect – have your say on plans for Covid memorials.

Sefton Council are working on plans to create some memorials across Sefton to remember those who lost their life or were affected by the Covid -19 pandemic.

We want to remember the big loss and sadness but also the inspiration and togetherness in our communities it created as we all supported each other.

To do this, we want to get the views of our residents to see if you support our ideas.

The feedback received will be used to help with the design of the covid memorial.

The idea for the design of the Covid memorial

A lot of work was done nationally to reflect on the pandemic and one of the recommendations was to create memorials that are a place for people to sit and reflect.

We are proposing that the memorial would be a simple layout with a memorial bench in the centre and a circle of trees creating a quiet and peaceful environment.

We are asking people if they agree or disagree with the design and where the memorials should be placed.
