Sefton Council have written to us with the following Definitive Map Modification Order to add Formby Footpath Nos.59, 61, 63, 64 and Formby Byway Nos.57, 58, 60, 62, 67 and 68 around St Luke’s Church Road. SECTION 53 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY
– AREA NO. 3 (BOROUGH OF SEFTON EXCLUDING SOUTHPORT AND BOOTLE)

The above Order made on 14th April 2021, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the area by adding byways at Albert Road, Alexandra Road, Cambridge, Range Lane and St Luke’s Church Road, a footpath as a continuation of Albert Road, two footpaths connecting Albert Road and Alexandra Road and a footpath as a continuation of St Luke’s Church Road, Formby, as shown on the Order Maps DC2136, DC2121, DC2122, DC2123, DC2124, DC2125, DC2126, DC2127, DC2128 and DC2129.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge, by appointment only at the Highways Development Control 4th floor, Magdalen House, 30 Trinity Road, Bootle, L20 3NJ by appointment only between 9.00am and 4.00pm on Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the Order and Map may be purchased. Appointments must be made via HDD.Enquiries@sefton.gov.uk

Any representations or objections relating to the Order must be sent in writing to the Chief Legal & Democratic Officer, Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council, Magdalen House, Trinity Road, Bootle, L20 3NJ (Reference DMMO011712CB.), not later than 17th June 2021, and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which they are made. Please bear in mind that such correspondence cannot be treated as confidential and may be inspected by any interested party.

If no such representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or to any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State (or part of it if the authority has by notice to the Secretary of State so elected under paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981) may itself confirm the Order (or that part of the Order). If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in whole or in part, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
